How to Apply

 

Application Deadlines

 

Master of City Design (MCD)

The number of students admitted to the MCD is limited. Admissions are selective and competitive. Fall semester start only. Early submissions are encouraged in order to receive fullest consideration. There is no deadline to be considered for merit-based scholarships and stipends awarded by the department. Deadline for international applicants is April 1. Deadline for domestic applicants is May 15.

 

Master of Urban Planning and Policy (MUPP)

The number of students admitted to the MUPP program is limited. Admissions are selective and competitive. Submit your application early in order to receive fullest consideration. For fall admission, the international application deadline is April 1 and the domestic application deadline is May 15. Applicants who wish to be considered for departmental merit-based assistantships and scholarships must apply by January 15. For spring admission, the international application deadline is September 1 and the domestic deadline is November 1. UPP does not grant admission for summer semester.

 

Ph.D. in Urban Planning and Policy

The number of students admitted to the PhD program is limited. Admissions are selective and competitive. Submit your application early in order to receive fullest consideration. PhD students are admitted for fall semester only and the deadline for all applicants is December 15.

 

Admissions Procedure

The application is online and students must submit all credentials electronically. Please check this page for all details pertaining to application requirements, submitting the online application and supplemental credentials.

PhD students applying for merit-based financial assistance from the department are required to submit the Application for Graduate Appointment. Please note that students admitted as non-degree seeking will not be eligible for any financial assistance, including loan programs.
