Aseem Inam is the Chair in Urban Design at Cardiff University, U.K. He is also the Director of TRULAB: Laboratory for Designing Urban Transformation, a pioneering research-based practice. He was the John Bousfield Distinguished Visitor in urban planning at the University of Toronto and the founding Director of the highly innovative Graduate Program in Urban Practice at the Parsons School of Design in New York City. In addition to several journal articles and book chapters, he has published two books, Designing Urban Transformation and Planning for the Unplanned: Recovering from Crises in Megacities. As the Director of TRULAB, he has led several projects in urban transformation. He has practiced as an architect, urban designer and city planner in Brazil, France, Canada, Greece, Haiti, India, Morocco and the United States.
