The Humboldt Park Project Fall 2021

The Master of City Design program at University of Illinois – Chicago includes two semester-long studio projects, completed as a cohort of seven students. The first semester studio, entitled Urban Edge Studio, challenged students to envision the future of Chicago Avenue between Kedzie and Pulaski, one of the high-priority corridors identified in the city’s Invest South/West Initiative. Students spent the semester intensely researching, brainstorming, and visualizing design interventions for the corridor. The culmination of their hard work and creativity is the Revitalizing Humboldt Park: A Vision for Chicago Avenue booklet that can be accessed on this page.
