CUPPA-tech prioritizes support requests based on business impact and urgency to ensure timely and effective service.
- Standard requests: Response usually within 3 business hours
- Urgent or emergency issues: Addressed as quickly as possible based on priority and available staffing
Requests are scheduled accordingly to balance workload and responsiveness. If escalation is required, users should notify their supervisor and confirm that information in the request.
For emergencies, the CUPPAtech support form should be used, and a contact call-back phone number should be provided.

UIC students have access to a wide range of technology services designed to support academic success.
For remote access to classroom and specialized software, students can use the Virtual Computer Lab, which allows you to connect from any device using either a desktop client or a web browser. Students who need hardware can borrow laptops and other equipment at no cost through UIC’s Equipment Lending program. For on‑campus computing needs, UIC provides numerous Computer Labs across East and West Campus. Labs offer centrally managed computers with standard academic software, and some locations are open 24/7.
