Tingwei Zhang

Dr. Tingwei Zhang is Professor Emeritus in Department of Urban Planning and Policy at University of Illinois at Chicago where he taught international planning and urban design courses for more than twenty-five years. Widely recognized as the leading scholar of urban design and city planning in China, he also served as the chair of the Asia and China Research Program at the Great Cities Institute.  He earned a PhD from UNC Chapel Hill, and MUP and BArch from Tongji University, China. Dr. Zhang is also the founding chair of International Association for China Planning (IACP).
