WTTW Highlights GCI Study on Youth Unemployment During the Pandemic
A recent study released by the Great Cities Institute (GCI) on youth unemployment during the COVID-19 pandemic has received a considerable amount of attention over the last week, with WTTW covering the study and its implications this past Friday, May 20th. WTTW interviewed Matthew Wilson, associate director for economic and workforce development at GCI. As Wilson explained, the study not only tracked youth unemployment during the pandemic but also worked to establish a causal relationship between youth unemployment and crime.
