UIC's College of Urban Planning and Public Affairs celebrates the Class of 2017 during the college's commencement ceremony on Friday, May 5 at 10 a.m. at the UIC Forum. Special guests at the ceremony will include MUPP Alumnus Jesus "Chuy" Garcia, 7th District Cook County Commissioner providing the commencement address.

CEREMONY INFORMATION FOR GRADUATES:

 

ON THE DAY OF COMMENCEMENT BE PRESENT AND DRESSED BY 9:40 A.M.

All degree candidates and CUPPA faculty must be present, dressed in academic regalia, and ready to assemble for the processional by 9:40 a.m. on Friday, May 5. Dressing areas at the UIC Forum will open at 9:00 a.m. Enter through the main entrance.

CAPS AND GOWNS

Academic regalia will be available for purchase at the Student Center East Bookstore beginning in mid-April.

If you're eligible to attend this year's commencement ceremony and plan to attend, please see http://commencement.uic.edu/student_caps_gowns.shtml for instructions on how to purchase a cap and gown.

You **must** purchase a cap and gown before the event. When purchasing a master's gown, be sure to clearly convey your degree title to Bookstore staff.

* MPA and MUPP candidates and graduates should receive a hood, cap, gown, and tassel.

* Bachelor candidates should receive a blue cap, blue gown, and white tassel.

* PhD candidates wear the same color regalia, regardless of major.

Caps and gowns will go on sale at the UIC Bookstore in mid-April. See https://www.uicbookstore.org for hours of operation.
