UPP Prof Rachel Weber Quoted in Crain’s on Downtown Office Market
Rachel Weber, UIC professor of urban planning and policy, is quoted in a Crain’s Chicago Business column on current real estate trends in Chicago’s central business district, including decreased building capital flows, or the amount of money spent to buy or sometimes build new structures. Weber tells columnist Greg Hinz that it “remains to be seen" just how serious the recent shift in capital flows is, but proposed new taxes on corporations and business properties could arrive at a bad time for the downtown office market. http://bit.ly/31mFyxE (subscription required)
