Research on Property Taxes by GFRC and CMAP Featured in the Chicago Tribune
A study resulting from a research partnership between the Government Finance Research Center (GFRC) and the Chicago Metropolitan Agency for Planning (CMAP) was featured in the Chicago Tribune this past Monday, January 15. CUPPA Professors David Merriman, Rachel Weber, Joshua Drucker, and GFRC Director Deborah Carroll took leading roles in the report, which reveals that homestead exemptions deepen inequities in some Cook County south and west suburbs.
