New UIC Research Center with Experts from Urban Planning, Public Health, and Other Disciplines

A new UIC research center with experts from public health, medicine, engineering, urban planning, and biological sciences will measure health impacts and test nature-based interventions such as green infrastructure to minimize the consequences of climate change on humans.

Urban Planning and Policy faculty, April Jackson and Şevin Yıldız, are part of the interdisciplinary team and will lead climate adaptation and community engagement studios in Chicago's South Side as one of the center's inaugural interdisciplinary projects.
