Moira Zellner and Pierre Bommel (CIRAD) taught a one-week workshop on "Multi-Agent Systems Modeling for environmental science and policy" at the Universidad de la Republica (UdelaR), in Uruguay. This hands-on workshop is the third in a series that the "Espacio Interdisciplinario," and interdisciplinary service  that promotes and houses interdisciplinary activities in UdelaR, is offering on Modeling Complex Systems. The purpose of this course is to introduce participants to modeling and simulation of socio-ecological systems within appropriate theoretical and policy frameworks. Participants represent a wide range of academic and professional disciplines in both natural and social sciences, and organizations spanning both public and private sectors.
