GFRC’s Amanda Kass Quoted In Tribune Article On Pritzker’s Pension Proposal
Amanda Kass, associate director of UIC’s Government Finance Research Center, is quoted in a Chicago Tribune article on Gov. Pritzker’s proposal to consolidate suburban and downstate police and firefighter pension funds. Kass said pooling together and centrally managing the funds makes policy sense but the proposal’s lack of detail about the about the upfront transition costs of consolidation stands out. “I’m a little skeptical or unsure on how much money it’s going to really save, especially in the short-term,” she said. http://bit.ly/317vmbA (subscription required)
