GFRC’s Amanda Kass Quoted In Stories On Pension Funding In Illinois
The Daily Herald interviewed Amanda Kass, associate director of the Government Finance Research Center at UIC, in an article about public safety pension investment shortfalls and the proposal to consolidate suburban and downstate police and firefighter pension funds. Kass says more municipalities will be hurt under consolidation than when the funds were on their own, and the biggest problem with consolidation is it doesn't address unfunded liabilities.
