Dr. Kate Lowe Publishes an Op-ed on How the Johnson Administration Can Fix Transit

Professor of Urban Planning and Policy Dr. Kate Lowe published an op-ed in the Chicago Sun-Times that offered a number of ways that the Johnson Administration can begin to address the issues plaguing Chicago's public transportation system. With staffing issues, reliability, and ongoing concerns over safety on the "L," Dr. Lowe urges the Johnson administration to take a wholistic approach to improving public safety to improve the viability of Chicago's public transit. Dr. Lowe also advocates for a transit ambassador program, bus rapid transit, and increased funding from the state.
