CUPPA Students to Conduct Summer Outreach on 35th Street Upzoning
With the support of her successors in the 11th and 12 Wards, the outgoing alderwoman for Chicago's 12th Ward in McKinley Park has introduced an ordinance to up-zone West 35th Street to allow more commercial developments. The 35th Street corridor has previously been identified for its development potential by the Chicago Metropolitan Agency for Planning's McKinley Park Neighborhood Plan and been the focus of previous community engagement efforts by CUPPA students.
This summer, CUPPA students will focus their outreach efforts on making recommendations for the 35th/Archer Orange Line station and the stretch of West 35th Street from South Leavitt Street to South Ashland Avenue. Read the full article here.
