How can we empower cities in decline?

UPP Fulbright scholar Marjan Marjanovic will present on his research investigating if and how urban planning transforms in the view of urban shrinkage. The main goal of the study is to account for the way interpretations of shrinkage induce changes in urban planning

Marjan is a visiting Fulbright Scholar at UIC. He holds three masters degrees in European spatial planning, urban planning, and regional development from universities in the Netherlands, Sweden, and Serbia. Previously, Marjan worked as a policy consultant in Italy, where he was engagted with projects under the scopre of EU Cohesion policy and with a focus on European territorial development studies.
