DPA Research & Policy Seminar Series with Jeannine Love from Roosevelt University.
Integrative Governance: Radically Democratic PA?

The Integrative Governance framework developed by Stout and Love envisions a pathway toward a radically democratic approach to governance. Contemporary PA scholarship increasingly acknowledges the critical importance of understanding networks, collaboration, and public participation in governance. In their most recent book, Integrative Governance: Generating Sustainable Responses to Global Crises, Stout and Love argue that achieving these dynamics in governance requires rethinking foundational philosophical assumptions that likewise entails dramatic shifts in all areas of practice (ethics, economics, politics, and administration). In this talk, Jeannine M. Love will discuss the impetus behind this research, and its implications for research and practice grounded in interconnection and social justice
