About

Courtney Kashima is the founder of MUSE Community + Design, an urban planning consulting firm based in Chicago. She is a certified urban planner (AICP) and charrette facilitator (NCI), and has worked nationally and internationally in the areas of land use, zoning, economic development, and historic preservation. Courtney holds a BA in Urban and Regional Planning from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and a Master’s Degree in Urban Planning and Policy from the University of Illinois at Chicago. She is a past president of APA-IL and the Chicago Region Chapter of Lambda Alpha International, a multi-disciplinary land economics society. Courtney is the former host of APA’s podcast, “The People Behind the Plans.
