Cam Johnson joined the College of Urban Planning and Public Affairs at the University of Illinois at Chicago in January 2018. As Director of Advancement, he oversees the fundraising and alumni relations initiatives of the College. In this role, he works to connect alumni and friends with the amazing students, faculty and Research Centers working to promote just, resilient, and livable communities.
Prior to serving at CUPPA, Cam was Director of Development at the UIC School of Public Health where he built relationships and secured philanthropic investments propelling the School to new heights. Carrying on the same focus at CUPPA, he aligns the strategic goals and aspirations of the College with the individuals and entities who have the heart and the resources to further advance the College’s impact in our cities, society, and in the lives of our students.
He obtained a B.A. degree in Politics and Government from North Park University, a certificate in Philanthropy and Nonprofit Organizations from Northwestern University, and holds a Certified Fund Raising Executive (CFRE) designation. With 12 years of Development/Advancement professional experience, he is well-versed in all types of current, deferred, and highly complex blended gift structures.
