Voorhees Center Research Examines Possible Displacement By Obama Presidential Center
ABC 7 Chicago, Chicago Tribune, Chicago Sun-Times, and Block Club Chicago have reported on a study commissioned by the Obama CBA Coalition community group and conducted by UIC’s Nathalie P. Voorhees Center for Neighborhood and Community Improvement that examines the current housing situation for the area around the Obama Center and proposes strategies to promote development without displacement. Comments from Janet Smith, co-director of the Voorhees Center and author of the report, are included in the ABC7, Sun-Times and Block Club stories.
