Various outlets (CBS 2 Chicago, WBBM Newsradio, NBC 5, Streetsblog Chicago) reported on findings from a City of Chicago-commissioned study conducted by Stacey Sutton, UIC associate professor of urban planning and policy, and Nebiyou Tilahun, UIC associate professor of urban planning and policy, that examined equity and public safety issues associated with the city’s automated speed enforcement program.
Stacey Sutton, UIC associate professor of urban planning and policy, was interviewed during an ABC 7 Chicago segment on her co-authored City of Chicago-commissioned study of the city’s automated red-light and speed camera enforcement program and what was found regarding traffic camera effectiveness and social equity impacts.
