Urban Studies Major Emily Solano receives Stephen and Anita Friedman Award

Emily Solano, Urban Studies major in the Urban Planning and Policy Department, is recipient of the first Stephen and Anita Friedman Award. The Friedmans, longtime supporters of CUPPA and UIC, donated the scholarship for undergraduate students at CUPPA who are the first generation of their family to attend college. The Friedmans seized this opportunity to help educate the next generation of urban problem-solvers.
