Urban Planning and Policy's Joshua Drucker, associate professor, co-authored a column published in PA Times on March 11 with Richard Funderburg of UI Springfield. The column describes research conducted with CUPPA Interim Dean David Merriman and Urban Planning and Policy Professor Rachel Weber that examines whether municipal governments in Cook County apply business tax incentives strategically, either to compensate for high property tax rates or to recruit or retain and support targeted businesses.
