Chicago Parent magazine interviews Amanda Lewis, director of the Institute for Research on Race and Public Policy at UIC, in an article examining how parents can educate their children and raise them to be anti-racists. “It’s not just about ‘tolerating’ differences, it’s about valuing and appreciating differences,” said Lewis, who is also professor of sociology and Black studies, and LAS distinguished professor.
