Download iCal FileCUPPA’s Speaker Series Fall 2018 will be held on Thurs., Oct. 25, at 2 pm in the Lower Level of CUPPA Hall and will feature Daniel J. Fiorino, Director of the Center for Environmental Policy and Distinguished Executive in Residence, School of Public Affairs, American University. His talk is titled, “Does the Environment Need Washington? Environmental Federalism in a Polarized Era.” Fiorino joined American University after a lengthy career at the EPA. His talk will investigate the state of environmental protection today, when faced with declining federal funding and increasing political polarization. What is the state of environmental federalism in light of these challenges, and what does this mean for the future of environmental protection in the US?
