Join CUPPA Alumni Association for a Tour of the Illinois International Port District on Wednesday, May 30th.
The tour bus departs from CUPPA at 412 South Peoria at 8:15 A.M. and return to CUPPA by 12:30 P.M.
This tour is a unique opportunity to learn how the Port, in its 190 acres on the lakefront at 95th and 1,600 acres 6 miles south on Lake Calumet, is a landlord working with marine, rail and trucking companies, along with a massive support system, to play a vital role in the global and our local economies.
Clayton Harris III, the Port's Executive Director, will provide a short briefing upon our arrival, then accompany us as we tour the Port's facilities. Elizabeth Scott, AICP, an Associate Planner for the Chicago Metropolitan Agency for Planning and a Project Manager of a CMAP project with the Port, will ride the bus with us and provide a snapshot of the ongoing plans to transform the Port.
This tour fulfills 2 AICP CM Credits.
