Download iCal FileJoin us for IRRPP's Annual Bowman Lecture with our guest speaker, Professor Rashid Khalidi. Dr. Khalidi will give a lecture on Palestinian experiences of and resistance to colonialism and imperialism. Dr. Khalidi will then be joined by Dima Khalidi for a conversation on the present state of and future possibilities for Palestine and Palestine advocacy in the US.
There will be a reception immediately after the event.
The Bowman Lecture on Race, Ethnicity, and Public Policy is an annual lecture by a nationally recognized scholar of race, ethnicity, and public policy or a panel of scholars who provide timely analysis of issues of racial equity and justice that are critical to the field and to communities of color. This lecture has been established to honor Phillip J. Bowman’s contributions to UIC during his tenure as Director of IRRPP and Professor of African American Studies.
Bowman Lectures are free and open to the public.
